The short version

We may earn a commission if you book through one of our links, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would pay by going to the booking platform directly.

We are not a tour operator or a travel agency. We do not sell tours, take payments or act as an agent for any operator or platform.

Who does what

Every trip listed here is sold and operated by a third party. On this site that currently means five companies — Captbarnabatours, Big Mir Tours & Safari, MSILAHA Tours and Safaris, Bureau De Tours and Yonazi Travel — selling through a booking platform. Their name, the platform and the product ID appear on each tour page so you can check the listing yourself.

The operator runs the trip, the platform takes your payment and holds your booking, and both set the price, the inclusions and the cancellation terms. We have no authority to make commitments on their behalf and cannot change, refund or reschedule anything.

What the commission does not buy

Placement, ratings and wording are not for sale, and no operator has paid to appear here or to be described in a particular way.

The practical test is on the pages themselves. We tell you that the best reef in reach of Zanzibar, Chumbe Island Coral Park, should be booked directly with the island — a recommendation that earns this site nothing. We print the conservation fee that turns a $41 day into a $63 one. And we quote, in full, the operator warning that boats around Mnemba sometimes surround dolphins in a way that resembles hunting.

Ratings and reviews

Ratings and review counts are the platform's own, read on the date shown on each page: 4.7 from 1,248 reviews, 4.6 from 512, 4.6 from 67, 4.5 from 738, 4.5 from 22 and 4.3 from 804, all read in August 2026. We do not calculate a site rating of our own, and this site carries no aggregate rating of its own in its markup, because the site has no reviews.

Quoted reviews keep the reviewer's first name, country and travel month as published, and critical reviews are quoted alongside positive ones. We do not write testimonials.

Prices

Prices shown are list prices at the time of the last check, stated on every tour page: $41, $42, $55, $70, $71 and $90 per person as read in August 2026. Two listings were running promotional discounts at that moment; we publish the list price so the page does not go wrong when a sale ends.

Prices move with season, group size and currency, and several charges are collected separately on the day. The price that counts is the one on the checkout page before you pay, plus whatever the fee stack adds. Our research process is set out in the editorial methodology.
